“Seeing the system fail in real time was enough.
It lit a fire – for change, for creativity, for something better.”

1in7 started with one child, one diagnosis – and the realisation that the system wasn’t built for him.

That experience didn’t just leave a mark. It sparked insight, action, and a commitment to build something better – for him, and for the many others still being overlooked.

From that spark came something bigger: a refusal to accept the old way, and the belief that with creativity and collaboration, we could help build something far better, real-world tools that challenge the status quo and reimagine what education can and should be.

Who We Are

We are a commercial innovation hub dedicated to solving systemic challenges in neurodiversity and education. At our core, we blend neuroscience, Al, and lived experience to design learning solutions that honour the unique wiring of every young mind. We operate as a Collective - bringing together educators, scientists, designers, technologists, and parents - all united by one goal: to turn empathy into action and deliver solutions with real-world impact.

Our Social Remit

While our primary focus is commercial innovation, 1in7 holds a parallel social purpose: to ensure that the knowledge, systems, and tools we create can also benefit the broader state education system. Our sole aim is to deliver better outcomes for more children, regardless of postcode, diagnosis, or background.

Our Mission

To redesign the future of education for every mind. We achieve this through radical collaboration, relentless experimentation, and human-first thinking – placing curiosity, compassion and creativity at the heart of every project.

Our Story

What began as solitary advocacy has become a vibrant Collective of doers. We ask better questions, prototype bold ideas and build tools that transform lives. Each iteration reflects our commitment to co-creation, ensuring that the voices of families, educators and learners shape the work we do.

How We Work

Our approach is both agile and intentional. We start by listening – gathering insights from lived experience and asking deep questions alike. We then prototype solutions rapidly, testing with real communities to gather feedback and refine in real time. Partnerships are our power: by collaborating with schools, funders and innovators, we scale what works and share our learnings openly.
